Instinct Martial Arts have been great whilst working with Middlesbrough College. Jamie led a number of engaging and enjoyable sessions for some of our students which has really given them a great introduction to Mixed Martial Arts. The students were given a real workout and were able to have an extensive go at a sport they wouldn’t really have access to. We hope to bring more groups in the future.
I’ve been going to instinct now for around a year. And find it to be one of the best martial arts clubs around. Jamie the instructor takes things at your own pace. And doesn’t force you to compete like other schools do. The training is top notch from technique, to cardiovascular and conditioning. There’s also strength training involved. So not only do you learn a martial art, you get stronger and fitter at the same time. From my recommendation, my wife and daughter go now. They both love it. No egos, everybody gets on and complements each other to progress.
Jamie is a great trainer. I haven’t done any fitness for at least 6 months and slowly got back into it. Jamie gave me the push I needed. People very friendly. Coming to class has lifted my mood. My husband and daughter also go and we all love it. We look forward to our weekly sessions.
I must say first thing first. At instinct martial arts there are no egos! No competing and no pressure to be like everyone else. Jamie our instructor takes you through your learning experience at your pace, he is patient, thorough and very clear in explaining the techniques. As a woman with no martial arts background I feel at ease with my fellow members both male and female, it’s a great place to get fit, tone and socialise. instinct has given me fitness, weight control, a body shape, confidence. And the opportunity to meet some great people! What’s not to like?
